Welcome to the YCA! We're a friendly group, here to encourage the importance of community. We want to introduce people to new friends, help you learn new things and want you to join in our wide variety of events.
There's something for everyone. Crafts, talks, coffee mornings and a myriad of acts and speakers for you to enjoy.
Formed in 1983 the YCA exists throughout the region to promote friendship, crafting and the importance of community. We bring women together from all walks of life, generations and backgrounds who go on to form long lasting friendships. Whether you wish to simply attend meetings with guest speakers, attend country shows as YCA ambassadors or join our committees, you will be warmly welcomed by all.
We have over 35 Branches throughout Yorkshire who all share this aim and are waiting to welcome you.
The History of the YCA
The YCA was formed in 1983 by Mrs. Audrey Totty MBE. Audrey's values of friendship, heritage, community and pride in all things Yorkshire still form the basis of the YCA as it is today.
The Central Committee is a group of volunteers from each Riding, which have their own committees where local activities and events are organised.
