I hope this finds you well and now that March is here, I wish you a wonderful spring!

Please allow me to remind you about the next ACWW European Area Conference which will take place in Glasgow, Scotland, 12-16 October 2020, at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel. Have you registred? The deadline for Early bird registration is aproaching, so if you want to attend the conference, to see what it offers and participate at the discussions, as well as to meet your friends from all over Europe, you will have to decide to register before the 1st April. If you would like to attend, please complete the registration form fully, ensuring that you add your ACWW Membership number. The organizers are telling us that there are no longer any single rooms available, however, they still have twin/double rooms available, so please hurry!

I am am in close contact with the Organizing Committee of the Conference and I got the registrations list a couple of weeks ago. I saw there many names of members well known to me for years, but we are still waiting for more to come!

We invite societies to send in their resolutions or recommendations they might want to put forward for discussion at this Conference. Please kindly send them to me at europe@acww.org.uk, by 1st August.

Also please send in a brief report of the activities your society has carried out since the last ACWW European Conference, including the number of members your society has. The deadline for sending in your reports to europe@acww.org.uk, is 1st June.

Once again we are kindly asking for donations to help members attending their first conference, coming from countries with a lower average income and/or those who would really like to attend and will benefit from attending, but cannot afford. Please be informed that all the Sponsorship donations in money should be sent to ACWW Central Office. It will be kept in a separate fund and used only for the above mentioned purpose. Any amount of sponsorship donated, is wonderful and will help and please note that any donations should have a clear statement that it is for the “European Support Fund” and who it is from.

As I did in my previous Newsletters, I invite members who wish to apply for Sponsorship to send me an e-mail at my official e-mail address: europe@acww.org.uk, in order to receive the Application Form to be completed and sent back to me by 31st March.

• The new website went live in November at www.acww.org.uk and has a large number of new resources on it. Some important days to put into your diary:

• March 9 – 22, 2020 – Commission on the Status of Women, United Nations New York - This has been cancelled, but ACWW is working to ensure that rural women are represented and that members benefit from new resources.

• March 22 – World Water Day
