Gardening Day Event with Competition
10am til 3pm, Wednesday 27 April 2022
The Riley Smith Hall, Tadcaster
Join us at this event to enjoy morning and afternoon gardening themed talks by Yorkshire professionals (names TBC), a table served main course buffet luncheon followed by an open to all cake table, welcome drinks and the opportunity to take part in our Gardening Competition with the following classes:
Classes
1. A bowl of spring bulbs top be grown by the competitor.
2. A pot of mixed culinary herbs from your garden to include a minimum of 3 varieties. (All to be named)
3. A miniature ornamental garden in a standard size seed tray not exceeding 13½" x 8" (35 cm x 22 cm)
4. A flower arrangement not to exceed 24” x 24”(61cm x 61cm) using a bunch of supermarket flowers up to the value of £8.00p, receipt to be displayed alongside. Accessories and additional foliage may be used.
5. A mounted photograph of a garden, maximum size of photograph 7" x5" (17cm x 12cm) maximum size of mount 9" x 7" (22cm x 17 cm). Must not be digitally enhanced. Forwarded to Central Office by 13 April 2022.
Tickets are £22 per person and sold on a first come, first served basis. Booking forms will be issued with the March Newsletter. Competition entrants do not have to attend the full event.
